Lia's dress is a mixture of period accurate craftsmanship and incredibly innacurate anime designs. The undergarments (shift, corset, panniers) are accurate, but the top of the dress and the fake polonaise "poofs" are all anime. The lace on the engageantes (the sleeves) was hand-made, and took many hours of watching "Pride and Prejudice" on the television. Surprisingly, this dress was incredibly comfortable, and the panniers offered a lot of extra storage space, where I kept all the usual cosplaying necessities: duct take, thread, needles, phones, with the addition of pocketbooks and extra batteries.
